Administration Manager
The Administration Manager should be willing and able to work with a team approach, and should share Praxis' overall commitment to addressing issues of racial and economic justice, working with traditionally disenfranchised populations, changing structural conditions to improve the quality of life, building community power, and institutional/systemically focused strategies.
The candidate should be able to demonstrate the following qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
- experience working with diverse groups and ability to deal tactfully with the public;
- creating and maintaining filing and internal communications systems;
- develop and coordinate project management systems; familiarity with database software, project management tools, website management, word processing, spreadsheets, editing and basic graphic design;
- coordinate meetings – including the development of systems for meeting coordination; familiarity with administrative tasks;
- and ability to work independently, be detailed oriented, prioritize own work, and collaborate with and coordinate the work of others in a harmonious and empowering manner.
DUTIES
- oversee all of Praxis' administrative systems as well as provide logistical and administrative support to program work. This includes developing processes for and coordination of internal communications and project management systems, including developing and monitoring project and organizational calendars; tracking task assignments and responsibilities;
- developing internal communications systems and in collaboration with staff engage in ongoing evaluation and improvement of these systems;
- oversee the acquisition and maintenance of office equipment and supplies;
- develop systems for tracking and ordering supplies;
- develop and maintain systems for centralized files of all Praxis administrative and program files;
- maintain paper and electronic solutions for internal communications and document sharing/access/ and retrieval;
- orient staff on use of these systems;
- assist in the preparation of a variety of final products including manuscripts, graphic presentations, fact sheets, action alerts, media packets, etc.;
- respond to routine and specialized requests for information, including maintenance and distribution of informational material about Praxis;
- assist in the coordination and implementation of trainings and training logistics and assist in the preparation of funding proposals, reports and other related correspondence;
- oversee the coordination of Praxis meetings, conferences, special events, trainings, and other organizational convenings including liaison with vendors;
- development of registration and participant tracking systems;
- with Finance Director to develop systems for coordination of speakers including contracts and honoraria;
- and work with appropriate staff regarding outreach and publicity.

The salary range is based on experience and funding availability with a generous benefits package.
