Black Lives Matter ALWAYS—today, tomorrow, and forever.
August 27, 2020
The Praxis Project remains steadfast in standing in solidarity with protesters fighting for racial equity and liberation, in Kenosha and across the nation. We are grateful that Jacob Blake is alive, but furious at yet more hideous examples of anti-Black violence at the hands of the police. We echo the calls for accountability and justice, and support the movements working to abolish the racist, violent institutions that continue to oppress and harm our communities. We pledge to continue to work together and put into practice our vision of community safety imagined by Black organizers, leaders, and ancestors. We will uplift and support the work of grassroots organizers that have been advocating for racial justice in our communities for years. We will continue to have conversations about anti-Blackness across sectors and work to root out institutional racism, inequity, and white supremacy that is pervasive in all facets of our lives. We will work to ensure the voices of our communities are heard by the political leaders that enable institutional anti-Black racism and inequality through our votes. So let us all continue to organize so that we can heal, and achieve liberation for all of our communities. Black Lives Matter ALWAYS—today, tomorrow, and forever.
