Blair envisions a world where grassroots activists and organizers have the support and space to rest, reimagine, and collectively build a society that deserves us – and is actively aligning to that vision through their work at Praxis. In their role, they provide direct technical assistance and capacity building support to our fiscally sponsored projects and base building network. Blair was born, raised, and currently lives in Baltimore, Maryland, and has worked at the intersections of community organizing, LGBTQ equity, and racial justice. Most recently, Blair was the Executive Director of the Youth Empowered Society, a drop-in center founded by youth experiencing homelessness, providing direct services and engaging in systems-level reform across the city and state. While there, Blair co-led legislative efforts to increase housing access for young people and moved the organization from fiscal sponsorship to independent nonprofit status. Blair received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Delaware. Outside of work, Blair dances, writes, practices tarot, and loves up on dope earrings and scarves.
