Recognizing Healing-Centered Community Practices as a Complement to Trauma-Informed Interventions and Services
CCPH Webinar Recording & Brief
The Praxis Project was proud to release this working brief in August, which highlights the work of community organizing being rooted in healing and community-centered love, connection, and restoration. This brief uplifts community-centered healing practices that have helped our communities to endure and survive over time. In a webinar on August 26, Praxis invited Detroit Women of Color, Inc. and Native Organizers Alliance to have a conversation on community-centered healing.
Praxis was fortunate to have three phenomenal interns working with us this summer. Our Health Justice Intern, Julian Johnson, worked on a blog series that shares his perspective on public health and examines how public health is traditionally defined and advocates for broadening the who, what, and why of public health work. Read the series!
