Cristina serves The Praxis Project as its Employee Engagement and Training Specialist where she has the opportunity to integrate her workplace experience with her commitment to social justice and equity.

Cristina’s life experience as a first-generation Mexican American born and raised in El Paso, Texas cultivated her passion for social justice and equity for underserved communities. These values were further instilled during Cristina’s undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) where she double-majored in psychology and political science. After graduating from UTEP, Cristina continued her education at the University of California at Berkeley School of Law, which allowed her to gain a deeper understanding of the social injustices faced by marginalized communities and the need for advocacy and innovation to effectuate systemic change.

Over the last fifteen years, Cristina has counseled employers and provided workplace training in order to help create and maintain inclusive and harmonious workplaces.
