Health Justice Intern—Research & training
Pronouns: they/them
Timezone: Pacific
Devyn is currently pursuing their Master’s in Social Welfare (MSW) at the University of California, Berkeley. In their past work, they provided direct services to unhoused adults and older adults receiving palliative care. Outside of their work, they have also been involved in organizing with tenants and unhoused folks for housing justice and support for harm reduction resources. In their MSW program, they are also organizing with their fellow students for paid practicum placements in an effort to support future social workers coming from marginalized backgrounds.
Devyn is grounded in their passion for health and housing justice, disability justice, queer and trans liberation, and abolitionist social work. During their Health Justice Summer internship with The Praxis Project’s Research and Training team, they are hoping to learn more about how research can be conducted ethically and utilized to advance justice and promote healing for marginalized communities.
