Grassroots Leadership believes no one should profit from the imprisonment of human beings. Every day they confront a prison industry that preys on pain because locking people up dehumanizes all of us. They envision a safe and healthy city, state and world where people have agency over their lives, and their lives are not interrupted by prison profiteering, mass incarceration, deportation, and criminalization.
