Praxis’ movement building Fiscal Sponsorship

Technical Details & Resources

Our Fiscal Sponsorship Models

There are many forms of fiscal sponsorship and ways to practice it. In our program we generally use two distinct models. Click the buttons below to learn more!

Praxis Fiscal Sponsorship Administrative costs

Like most fiscal sponsors, we do collect funds from those we sponsor to offset the costs of providing fiscal sponsorship. These funds cover various aspects of fiscal sponsorship support. To find out more about what we provide to our fiscally sponsored projects, see our Administrative Cost Explainer which explains what is (and is not) covered by the collected funds specifically for our comprehensively sponsored partners.

Resources

Praxis is committed to practicing fiscal sponsorship that is sustainable and mutually supportive. We strive to ensure that we are staffed appropriately to support our projects, which means regular capacity assessments and pausing onboarding of new projects. It is often not possible for us to take on every project that is seeking fiscal sponsorship with Praxis, and it is important to us to support both the growth of the field of values-aligned comprehensive fiscal sponsors and the collective investment in movement capacity. For this reason, Praxis has built a library of resources on the topic of fiscal sponsorships.
