Climate change threatens our physical and mental health, air quality, water access, food systems, and shelter, and is destroying the land that feeds our communities. Join Movement For Black Lives (M4BL) and pledge, support and join Black Hive's Climate Mandate.

 

The Black Hive’s work focuses on the following areas: water, energy, land, labor, economy/reparations, democracy, health, and Global Black Diasporic solidarity—and investing in equitable climate solutions and alternatives that center on the concerns of Black communities in defending against the climate crisis.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
  • Native Youth and Culture Fund. First Nation's Native Youth and Culture Fund focuses on providing youth opportunities that support the perpetuation of traditional knowledge, spirituality and the intergenerational transfer of knowledge systems. Grants between $5,000 and $20,000. Applications are due November 10, 2022. Learn more & apply.

  • The Mobilize Power Fund. Third Wave Fund's Mobilize Power Fund is a rapid response fund that resources gender justice organizations to adapt or pivot their work when met with unanticipated, time-sensitive opportunities or threats to their movement building work and organizing conditions. Grants up to $10,000. Applications due November 1, 2022. Learn more & apply.

  • Community Action Fund. NDN Collective's Community Action Fund provides urgent response grants to groups and individuals most impacted by local challenges, ensuring that resources and decision-making ability lies with those most affected by the results and most equipped to solve  pressing challenges and address imminent threats. Grants between $15,000 - $30,000. Applications due October 31, 2022. Learn more & apply.

  • Resist Supports Grants for organizing, basebuilding, direct action, and cultural organizing. Resist foundation support groups organizing within communities for structural social and economic change. Grant applications are due quarterly (December 3, 2022) and provide general support groups for up to $4000 and up to $1000 for rapid response. Learn more & apply.
