Join the 100+ organizations in calling on Congress to invest in close-to-home parks!
More than 100 million Americans don't have access to green space, but we can fix that.
During the pandemic, nature has taken on a whole new meaning for many of us, becoming a vital respite from the stress of our current reality. But not everyone has safe, equal access to the outdoors - more than 100 million Americans don’t have a park close to home. Emergencies like this show that in too many communities, access to quality parks is a privilege when it should be a right. As Congress determines how best to provide economic relief for millions of Americans impacted by the crisis, we see an opportunity to create jobs, invest in the hardest hit communities and ensure every American has access to a quality park within a 10-minute walk of their home. That’s why we’re calling on lawmakers to include a one-time federal investment for close-to-home parks in a future economic stimulus bill.
