"ROOTED IN COMMUNITY is a promise to look beyond ourselves, to build and honor deep connections with our sentient neighbors, friends, and family as well as to build and honor a deep connection with the Earth, our communal homeland. When we are rooted in community we are looking out for one another, advancing mutual aid, participating in reparations, and engaging in community accountability processes. We are honoring and valuing the skills that each individual possesses and seeing how we are so much stronger when we bring those skills together to work towards shared visions and dreams."

Recipes, whether written or passed down orally, can communicate so much about our cultural histories and our origin stories. What recipe tells your story?
We are collecting recipes, poems, artwork, and other artifacts to share in the upcoming event. Even if you can't make it, share something with us! All contributors and participants will receive a digital care package.

Praxis is excited to host our second virtual Roots and Remedies convening with a theme of Love and Liberation: Rooted in Community on Friday, July 9th.
