Centering Community...

The Praxis programs team has been working to center community in rural policy and power-building efforts.

  • Later this month, we will be co-hosting a stakeholder meeting with ChangeLab Solutions for our Toward Better Rural Futures project. The aim of the meeting is to learn more about the policies that rural organizers believe would advance racial and economic justice in their communities.

  • As part of our Policies for Action project, we have worked alongside our partners at Berkeley Media Studies Group to narrow down localities that we would like to survey to assess the impact of local declaration of racism as a public health crisis.

  • Praxis looks forward to our next meeting with our Rural Community Power Building Advisory Working Group (AWG) in February! The AWG supports the Rural Community Power Building project's overarching goal which is to create a learning environment through the coordination of a Rural Organizing Community of Practice (CP).

Movement Building Fiscal Sponsorship...
Fiscal Sponsorship Office Hours Flyer
If you're someone who has general questions about fiscal sponsorship, or specific questions about our program, feel free to join us at our monthly Fiscal Sponsorship Office Hours!  Hosted by our Senior Program Manager, Blair, and our Associate Director, Ariel, these are public Q&A sessions that will take place on the last Fridays of the month at 9am PST / 12pm EST.  Feel free to bring your breakfast/lunch and pop in for as long as you need to.  Access the link to office hours here.  We ask that folks at least skim the content on our Movement Building Fiscal Sponsorship page before joining the call, to have a grounding in our approach to fiscal sponsorship and how it supports capacity and power building within movement work.
